Hello everyone, I'm excited to introduce my first Android app 'Secret Album' as both a developer and a father of two children.

Development Background: A Project Born from a Father's Heart

At 52 years old, raising two young children (a 27-month-old son and an 8-month-old daughter) has taught me many things. Capturing my children's precious moments through photographs brings me immense joy, but I've also realized how important it is to keep these personal photos secure.

When lending my smartphone to friends or acquaintances, I often worried about accidentally exposing personal photos while opening the gallery to show them something. Photos of my children, family vacations, scanned important documents... These concerns eventually led me to create the 'Secret Album' app.

What is 'Secret Album'?

As the name suggests, 'Secret Album' is a secure vault for your precious photos. Here are the main features:

  1. Strong Encryption Security: Access your photos through password protection or fingerprint recognition for complete privacy.
  2. Hide Photos from Gallery: Completely remove photos from your original gallery and transfer them to 'Secret Album'.

Real User Experiences

Although I initially created this app for my personal needs, I had some friends and family members test it. The results were amazing.

My younger brother appreciated being able to safely store photos of his children and scanned passport copies. A colleague uses it to save personal notes and important documents. Even my mother told me she could use it easily thanks to the simple interface.

Challenges During Development

The development process wasn't easy. As someone who isn't a professional developer, it was quite challenging, but I gradually completed the app by coding for a few hours each night after my children fell asleep. My main focus was balancing security with user-friendliness.

With the belief that "even the best security is useless if it's difficult to use," I strived to create an intuitive interface.

Reflections on App Development

I learned a lot taking my first steps as a developer. My coding skills improved, but more importantly, I learned to think from the user's perspective. Initially, I only planned to implement a feature to hide photos, but through actual user feedback, I added various additional features.

This project also taught me the joy of new challenges. Starting something new in my 50s was intimidating, but now I'm full of excitement about developing my next app.
